Frequently asked questions
You can buy EvoCore flooring online at Direct Wood Flooring or explore the range through our stores. EvoCore is our own-brand flooring, with wood-inspired designs and decorative layouts for different interiors. Browse the available products, compare their specifications and request samples where offered. Our team can help you choose a range that suits your room, style and fitting plans.
Many EvoCore click floors have integrated underlay, so they do not need an additional layer beneath them. Requirements vary across the collection, however, and some products use a different fitting system. Check the chosen product's installation guide before buying underlay, and do not add extra cushioning unless approved. An integrated backing does not remove the need for a suitably prepared subfloor or any required moisture barrier.
Our EvoCore range includes waterproof products designed for practical everyday living, including options listed for kitchens and bathrooms. Check the individual product's water rating and room suitability before choosing. A waterproof floor still needs correct installation, including preparation and any edge treatment specified in its guide. Wet-room suitability should be confirmed separately, and spills should be cleaned up promptly.
Many EvoCore products offer scratch-resistant surface protection, helping them cope with normal everyday use. The level of protection depends on the range, so compare individual specifications. Scratch resistant does not mean scratchproof: sharp objects, dragged furniture and abrasive grit can still mark a surface. Suitable furniture pads, regular cleaning and an entrance mat help look after your chosen floor.
EvoCore is designed for long-term everyday use, but there is no single lifespan that applies to every product. The range, wear layer, room conditions, fitting and care all affect how long it performs well. Check the residential warranty and its terms on the product you choose; a warranty is not the same as a guaranteed service life. Our team can help you compare the ranges.
