Is this flooring waterproof, if not is it suitable to use in a kitchen?: Hello! Thank you for getting in touch! Engineered wood is not waterproof, and is not recommended in areas that will have high levels of moisture. However, Engineered wood can be installed in a kitchen, provided spills are managed. We would also recommend using our Joint Protector to seal the joints of your flooring to add more protection. Hi there, would this be suitable in front of bi-fold doors in a room with 3 large sky lights? Additionally is it 'loud'? i.e. you can hear a dog walking on it? Thanks: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Engineered Wood is suitable for most areas of the home. For the bi-folding doors and skylight, it would depend on the temperature of the area. Although Engineered Wood is much less temperamental than Solid, it does still expand and contract with heat. I would recommend taking temperature readings of these area's, to make sure they do not exceed 27 degrees. Can this flooring be used with electric underfloor heating?? And is it ok for a bathroom??: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! This can certainly be used with underfloor heating! You would need to install using the Timberlay Heatflow Underlay: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/timberlay-heatflow-underlay.html. What do you mean by floating floor: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! The term 'floating floor' refers to flooring which is not directly secured to a subfloor with nails or adhesive. Instead, the flooring is fit together on top of underlay which is laid over the subfloor, the main benefit of this being easier and quicker to fit.
