Flooring is beyond our expectations. "Flooring is beyond our expectations. Very pleased with our experience. Customer service was exceptional. Fitters were very skilled." — Stephanie K. (5/5) Great quality "Great quality" — Manjit K. (5/5) Really good finish and looks "Really good finish and looks wonderful" — Edward M. (5/5) Beautiful flooring and looks amazing "Beautiful flooring and looks amazing" — Gillian A. (5/5) Feature wall. "Really helpful staff in showroom, good quality product. Had to order another pack using the customer service number and again service was excellent. Really pleased with the finish albeit we put in a wall rather than the floor!" — Dominic W. (4/5) The Loft Look "We called just as the lockdown had lifted to look for Oak Flooring for our open plan home. Peter the Manager came over to help and gave some well needed advice. The Loft range was perfect for our needs. Peter gave us a quote with no obligation or pressure, after returning home to check measurements we called up and placed our order. I’m not a joinery by any means but set about doing the floor and it was so easy to fit, I even changed the skirting to oak to finish the floor off. A fantastic quality solid floor and it’s changed our home, the tones of wood colour and texture really do give it an amazing feel and look." — Mark S. (5/5) Good quality. Precise delivery 👍🏼 "Decent product. Good quality. Fast efficient delivery. The random planks are mainly mid size boards. More of them than anything else in each pack. No complaints. Really good." — Andrew G. (5/5)Q&A
- Hi, what can I buy to clean it as it’s in a new build and is a little bit dusty and dirty we all know what builders are like lol
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch. We have the Impero Elite Wood Flooring Kit, which professionally cleans and protects your premium wood flooring, but also restores solid and engineered wood back to its former beauty. https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-elite-wood-flooring-cleaning-kit.html I hope this helps, and if you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to get back in touch. Kind Regards, Christina.
- Can this be glued down/fixed or does it have to be floating (we have ufh in concrete floor with levelling compound on top)
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Yes, this Engineered Wood flooring can also be glued down instead of being installed as a floating floor. We would recommend the following adhesive: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-wood-flooring-adhesive.html. If you choose to instal as a floating floor, we also recommend using the following Timberlay Heatflow Underlay: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/timberlay-heatflow-underlay.html and not exceeding a temperature of 27 Celsius. I hope this helps, and if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, David.
- Is this suitable for bathrooms?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Unfortunately, this flooring is not suitable for bathrooms as this is wooden flooring, the planks can contract and expand with changes in temperature and moisture. I would recommend looking at our EvoCore Nature range as this is 100% waterproof: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-flooring/nature. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
- I'm looking to lay this flooring over "LivingHeat' Electric foil heating mat, but I'm concerned the life of the floor may well outlive the heating mat. If flooring has to be glued I assume there is no future chance of being able to lift the floor to replace the heating mat? is gluing essential or recommended?
- Hello, thanks for getting in touch! Yes, we would recommend using the following adhesive to secure the Tongue and Groove system: directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-grip-adhesive-glue.html. It is essential to use adhesive with Tongue and Groove Engineered Wood to keep the planks in place. Alternatively, I would recommend our EvoCore range as this can be re-installed if needed: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-flooring. I hope this helps if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me. Kind regards, David.
- Hi, does this need to be glued at the tongue and groove if laying as a floating floor on underlay?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Yes, this is an Engineered Wood Flooring so we recommend that you lay this product over an Underlay, glueing the tongue and grooves together with an adhesive. Please follow this link to the adhesive that we would recommend: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-grip-adhesive-glue.html I hope that this helps and if you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Jasmin
- What's the best oil to re oil this flooring with ?
- Hello John, thank you for getting in touch! For the initial re-oiling of the flooring. I would recommend the following product: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-oil-anti-slip-extra-clear-3089.html This will seal the wood but not alter the colour. If later down the line you wish to re-oil to hide any minor scratches. The closest colour match oil we have would be the following product: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-oil-tints-3071-honey.html I hope this helps and if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, Kimberley
