Amazing service and product "We are so please with the service we received in the show room and how helpful the staff was and also patient as we did not really know what we wanted. It was really easy to then order with them, we waited a month for the flooring we chose and had a delivery booked. My shift got changed last minute so I was not going to be home unfortunately, but I left a note on the door to place under tarpooling as it was meant to rain and they took to time on delivery to over the delivery completely and placed some of our spare bricks on top to make sure it did not blow away. Incredible service throughout even with email updates of the order. Would definitely recommend and we will be using again." — Emily S. (5/5) Good quality and great service "Good quality and great service too" — David B. (5/5) Excellent quality wood flooring. Purchased "Excellent quality wood flooring. Purchased for master bedroom and landing. Very happy with end result. Delivered with care." — Matt B. (5/5) Worth every penny "So glad we decided to splash out in this floor. It was more than we originally budgeted for but worth every penny. We have the floor running from the front hall through to the new extension and it looks fab." — Kate (5/5) Really nice product "We installed this across our entire ground floor and are really pleased with the look and feel. - Hi, could you share technical specifications for this wood floor "WEATHERED BAVARIAN OAK"? in particular: Thermal Conductivity, and Thermal Resistance R-Value. Many thanks in advance
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I'm afraid the thermal resistance is not a measurement which is tested for this flooring. However, the thermal conductivity is 0.14W/(m.K). I hope this helps, and if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, David.
- Hi what lacquer would you recommend for this flooring please?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! As this is an Oiled flooring, we would not recommend a Lacquer. Instead, we would recommend applying a maintenance Oil, such as the following product: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-oil-anti-slip-extra-clear-3089.html. If you are looking to further protect your flooring, there are varnishes and waxes on the market that can help with this. I hope this helps, and if you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, Kimberley
- What varnish or oil would you recommend to match this product please?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I would perhaps recommend the Amber Tint: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-oil-tints-3072-amber.html. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch. Kind Regards, Katie.
- What is ths maximum underfloor heating temperature for this flooring?
- Hello, thanks for getting in touch! We recommend keeping underfloor heating temperatures under 27 degrees. I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Kind Regards, Vicky.
- Why can I not view this product in my room like I can for others? I find this tool very useful.
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I am sorry, not every product is available on our Virtual Room Viewer yet. We are working on adding this product in the near future. In the meantime, you could request a free sample of this flooring. I hope this helps, if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, David.
- Would this flooring be suitable for underfloor heating? I fear it may be too thick.
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I can confirm this flooring is suitable for Underfloor Heating. You would need to lay this as a floating floor alongside the Timberlay Heatflow Underlay: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/timberlay-heatflow-underlay.html. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
- We love our flooring but have unfortunately got quite a few water marks / drops on it around high wear and tear areas, like kitchen and bathroom. Is there anything you can recommend?
- Hi, thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry to hear about the wear and tear - we generally wouldn't recommend using engineered or solid wood in a kitchen or bathroom area due to the damage that can be done from exposure to moisture. You could sand and re-finish the wood using an oil or lacquer to freshen the look up. If you are instead looking to replace the flooring, we would recommend our EvoCore range: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-flooring This is our most versatile flooring and is great for kitchens and bathrooms. I hope this helps and if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us again. Kind regards, Benjamin.
- I have a light scratch on my floor. What's the best way to repare? A small coat of oil? Which oil?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! For a light scratch, we would recommend a coat of oil. This will help diminish the appearance and blend the scratch in with the board. You would need to oil the full board and please be aware that the colour will darken. However, as wood is varied, this won't be too noticeable. Please see the following recommended oil: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-original-oil-3011-clear-gloss.html I hope this helps and if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Kind Regards, Kimberley
