Product description
The Oxford Golden Smoked Oak Herringbone flooring has a warm, rich colour with subtle variations in tone that give the floor plenty of depth and character. Made from French oak, the rustic grade includes natural knots, cracks and changes in grain and colour, so each board has its own individual look.
The brushed finish brings out the natural grain of the oak, while the herringbone layout adds a classic look to the floor. A lacquered finish adds protection against everyday stains, moisture and wear, while also making the floor easier to clean and maintain.
The 14mm engineered wood construction includes a 3mm real oak top layer, giving the floor a solid feel and allowing it to be sanded and refinished in the future if required. The four-sided bevel adds definition around each board, helping to emphasise the herringbone pattern once fitted.
The fixed 450mm x 90mm boards use a tongue and groove joining system and can be floated, nailed or glued down, giving you flexibility when it comes to installation. The flooring is also suitable for underfloor heating.
With its warm golden tones and natural variation, the Oxford Golden Smoked Oak Herringbone works particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms and studies, as well as more traditional or rustic interiors.
The oak is sustainably sourced from the Burgundy region of France, and the flooring comes with a 20-year residential warranty.

- What’s the best method of fitting adhesive or secret nail? And best sub floor over floorboards to get flat surface? Ply wood?

With our Engineered Wood, you could float this flooring over an underlay such as our Timberlay Gold Underlay: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/timberlay-gold-underlay.html Then, you could glue the tongue-and-groove to secure the joints with our Impero Grip Adhesive: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-grip-adhesive-glue.html A Ply Board above the floorboards would help to get a flat surface.
