What product do you recommend to restore surface finish after cleaning paint splashes.: Hello, thank you for getting in touch. My first choice would be Osmo Maintenance Oil as Osmo specifically recommends Maintenance Oil for dull/matt oiled flooring and says it can refresh the protective surface without sanding. This particular product is treated with Klumpp coatings in the manufacturing process. The decorator has splashed micro drops of water based paint that has dried. Attempting to removed the spots lightens the boards. The spots need to be rubbed hard. Please can you recommend a treatment/product to restore the boards?: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Whilst you can use a clear satin oil to try to remove the spots, the spots will still remain visible but will be less visable. For the best results we would suggest your speaking to a floor refinisher as blending in smaller areas can be more difficult that refinishing the whole area. Is this flooring suitable for kitchen and conservatory? We have laid in all the other rooms and are now thinking to add in here as well. Alternatively, is there a matching option? The fluctuation in temperatures can warp and damage the planks over time. Additionally, this can impact the colour of the flooring when laid in direct sunlight. We would always recommend applying a coat of oil after installation. This will help re-seal and protect your flooring. All Oiled Wooden Flooring will need to be Oiled periodically. It will help with spills and ensure that the wood is less absorbent. You can instal Engineered Wood in a hallway. We're really interested in the Studio Natural Oak brushed and oiled engineered wooden flooring. We have 2 medium sized dogs and are concerned that they might scratch the flooring and leave marks on it. Is this flooring robust and durable enough to be suitable for our needs or would it be easily scratched?: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Solid and Engineered Wood is very hard-wearing. However, due to them being a natural material, they are not impervious to scratches. One of the great things about an oiled wood is that if your flooring does get scratched, you can easily re-oil. Alternatively, if you are looking for a more robust product. We have a brand new to the market flooring called EvoCore, which is scratch-resistant and also waterproof but still looks and feels like real wood.
